Punjab government has announced that all government schools in the province will be conducting the first virtual science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) competition, beginning from June 7 to June 17.
The announcement about the competition was made by the Punjab Education Minister, Murad Raas through his Twitter handle. He said that this intervention will improve students’ engagement in STEM subjects, adding that all sessions will be broadcasted live on Facebook.

STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering and mathematics, in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Rather than teaching the students separately, STEM integrates all these subjects to establish a cohesive and far more effective learning framework.
